The new scalable chromatography system features a patent-pending design that provides a flexible solution to meet your needs today and in the future. It can be optimally configured for use with both 0.25 and 0.50 tubing sets, which means that you can scale your process up or down with the same skid. The skid easily transitions from one size to the next by simply switching out the relevant components and tubing set. The scale-up or scale-down process can be completed in less than one day, on site, by your own team.

 The new Tezalon single-use sterile filtration system is a highly adaptable single-use platform designed to meet your current and future needs.

The system offers flexibility that is next-level – it can accommodate your preferred sterile filter brand and the brand-agnostic design allows the use of best-in class components for every part of the skid. Additionally, the unique design can be configured to accommodate multiple size filters. This enables your process to evolve as your needs change, keeping costs down and increasing productivity.

The new Tezalon multipurpose single-use bioprocess filtration system is redefining flexibility; it can be adapted for multiple applications, including sterile filtration, depth filtration, or virus filtration, and used with virtually any external filtration system.

This brand-agnostic system integrates best-in-class filters and components for every aspect of the skid and customer brand preferences are easily accommodated. It can also be delivered with any modern control system, including DeltaV®, Rockwell Automation®, or other platform. This allows users to make modifications on their own. And they are not locked-in to a particular vendor for their filters and components, or the automation and control system.

This single-use system features fully sterilized single-use tubing sets, complete with integrated sensors, which minimizes the risk of contamination. Sterile-to-sterile connections for inlets and outlets also reduce contamination risks.

Designed with utmost flexibility in mind, the new Tezalon bioreactor controller provides simultaneous control of up to two single-use bioreactors from 30 L up to 2000 L. A unique brand-agnostic design allows for integration with any brand single-use bioreactor.

The controls are based on an ISA-88 batch-compliant structure, which offers the flexibility to use the system as a stand-alone system or part of a larger unified system architecture. The controllers help to future-proof bioprocesses by evolving as needs change. Since the building blocks for automation are already in place, customers can start out using the system with local control and then integrate with a larger system when that system is built out. The controller allows for batch and recipe control and offers MES capability with little or no software modifications.

Tezalon controllers can also be adapted to any modern automation and control system, including state-of-the-art industrial platforms such as DeltaV® and Rockwell Automation®. The open system architecture is never locked down, which enables users to make modifications on their own. Using an ISA-88 structure to create the building blocks for automation also ensures that the system is easy to use and feels the same, regardless of the platform.

Tezalon now offers single-use chromatography systems for full-scale production with a choice of two models to meet different capacity requirements. The standard design can also be tailored to customer needs.

“Our new production-scale chromatography systems stand apart from any other single-use technologies available. The standard design can be used as is, or we can make small to major modifications, including reconfiguring the flow path. The systems feature dual inlet headers with dedicated flow sensors for accurate control throughout inline dilution and gradient steps. The dual filter manifold reduces risk of protein aggregation and eliminates the need for bubble traps. And an outlet back pressure control valve enables offline column pressure simulation to stabilize pumps and to smooth the transition to inline columns.

A brand-agnostic design gives users the freedom to choose their preferred brand of column, filters, and other components, as well as the automation and control platform— whether that’s DeltaV, Rockwell Automation, or another platform. Customization options include reconfiguring the flow path to add more filters, outlets, and/or buffers.
